Our middle school students have the opportunity to learn to play the piano
on 24 digital Yamaha Clavinova pianos which are touch sensitive. Our most
famous alumnus is the "piano man" himself-Billy Joel, and our
students work very hard to try and reach his level of musicianship. In
addition, we study: theory, harmony, composers,musical time periods and
participate in the annual NYSSMA Piano Festival.
